During the holidays, it is often that businesses lose contact with their COI.  What is COI?  COI stands for Circle of Influence.  Some refer to it as sphere of influence, or key contacts.  Your COI are those individuals in your database that are your best supporters, or cheerleaders.  They will be there when you need help.  They may often give you referrals.  They will talk about you and your service in the marketplace.  They want to see you succeed.  They can be clients, friends, family, vendors, etc.

In order to maximize your relationship with your COI, you can not lose contact with them.  Each month, you need to happy call them, email them, visit them, or set appointments with them.  They need to feel like you value them and that you support them in all they are doing.  You need to be LIKEABLE!  Yes, I said it.  If you feel that you are not getting adequate support from your COI, most likely it is because you are not a good friend.   So don’t let this month pass you by without contacting your COI.
